Airesurf Networks cuts the leash again by offering a Power over Ethernet (PoE) solution to its integrators.
The Airesurf PoE solution enables integrators to deploy access points, coupled with MegaFIs, using only ethernet cable.
The PoE solution is realized by minimizing the power demand of the access point and making use of the MegaFI system to do the signal amplification.
PoE is a proven technology standard that enables the extraction of DC power from a CAT5e cable. This can be used to power various network items, such as remote cameras, access points, VoIP phones, etc.
The Airesurf Network PoE solution enables the end user to power and communicate with an access point while yielding the benefits of the MegaFI v3 system.
The application of the MegaFI with PoE further demonstrates the flexibility of this product.
Following closely on the heels of the successful integration of the MegaFI with the ZigBee (TM) protocol are two new potential applications: A ZigBee (TM) co-ordinator and a repeater.
In addition, Airesurf, in conjunction with a major networking company, will test the MegaFI product in the emerging wireless standard 802.11n in the coming weeks.
Still untapped within our immediate market space are the BlueTooth (TM) and RFID markets. Each of these protocols can benefit from the addition of the MegaFI product.
